My film was shot on the DVX-100, and this DP guy thought it was shot on 16mm.

What do you all think?

(Steven Spielberg is sponsoring a search for the America's next Great Filmmaker, by developing a reality show called "On the Lot". )

Basically, the filmmakers who get the most on-line votes, get to become a part of a selected group of 16, who will travel to LA, live together for 4 months and make films and at the end of each week, the national TV audiences will vote on and also eliminate a person. The person at the end, gets a 1 million dollar deal with Dreamworks. Yoiur 5 star vote is much appreciated.

Happy Holidays!

Nice Film! You may want to contact the people who add up the scores - there seems to be a problem with the web site. There are a boatload of 1-star votes which are supposed to show 5 stars!

Yeah, we'll be entering a trailer of our film Smuggler's Ransom into that contest as well!

Just checked out the film... doesn't look like 16mm.... Did you shoot 24 P? The log splitting sequence in the beginning looks like 30P or 60i to me....

Good effort though to be sure.

Well... It's heavily compressed to begin with so we're losing something as we see it. There are places when it looks more filmic than others to be sure. Nice work!
