AUDITION follows a New York City couple through a short-lived romance that suddenly turns into a dating nightmare. The one hundred actors who portray the two characters, audition for the two roles and the chance to become the leads of the film itself and perform the final terrifying scene. The way the film will play out on screen is that each scene is finalized as a combination of multiple actors’ performances, with the location, sound design and story remaining consistent. Documentary moments from behind-the-scenes are edited within the narrative to create interesting contrasts, NYC moments and comparisons aiming to create a film where the characters’ search for love parallels the actor’s struggle for success.
Of course, before going into production on a project like this, we need to raise the funds that will make it all possible. To help with this, we're using the online site Kickstarter. If you have a moment please check out the Kickstarter page.
