hi just got my 100a nice stuff, i however would like a nice person to explain the audio controls and also tell me how to isolate a shotgun mic that i have and disable the standard mike.. ive been a grip for ten years ug ug, so bear with me....thanks

hey... what you want to do is switch both input switches to input 2. Then set one level (the little pot dials) high, and the other a bit lower. That will give you a backup track of the same audio at a lower level incase you peak.

I also use a shotgun, set to both channels, i'll try that too.

Another method is to use the shotgun on L or R and the other the camera mic.

yes i know camera mics are inferior, but for close audio, aint that bad.
