Hi Everyone! This is my first post and I would like to make the disclaimer that I am a newbie so feel free to talk to me like I know nothing

I have an HVX200A and need audio equipment. I am doing mainly infomation marketing type stuff but would like the option to do slightly more advanced stuff like a show format or something like that.

My next purchase has to be audio and I am looking to buy used. However, with what appears to be new regulations, there is a flood of used equipment going onto the market that is obsolete. This seems like a very bad time to be buying used audio.

I was hoping one of the brilliant minds our there on this board might be able to clear up the confusion. I know it is all about frequencies but are all Sennheisers obsolete? Are all lectrosonics acceptable? Help!!!

as far as i understand it, only systems in the "C" range (698-806 MHz) are effected

wgzn is correct. You will want to stay out of 698-806 MHz. In most cases there is a tag/sticker on the reciever that will tell you what frequency the system is using. Systems can be re-banded but in most cases rebanding a transmitter and receiver can cost more than a new system.
