Audio trouble in live concert

I have hvx 200 when i record in live concert the audio record with the internal boom ..it has scracth but the frecuency or wave is not in red level this scratch stand in record and audio play is so bad ... tell me what can i do?

what has happened is that the sound pressure of the live show was more than the microphone could handle. so even though the levels look fine, the audio is distorted.

sorry. there is no way to fix this.

for future events, you need to get an external microphone (or stand alone recording device) that is designed to handle live music volume.

i have the shure vp88 stereo mic that works great in these situations.

You can also connect a digital audio recorder to the sound board and/or connect a wireless transmitter to the board and feed it into your camera. I did that on a shoot two weeks ago, worked pretty well.
