audio reverb?

hi guys, I am not sure if this has been discussed before but we just plugged for the first time a me66 to my dvx100a, on the headphones it sounds very weird, like hall/reverb distortion

is this normal? will it be on tape normal?? or is it just useless?
very scared, please answer as soon as possible!

Don't have a 100A so I can't verify. Some people have complained about an echo. Simple test which will answer your question is: record some, then play it back. If there's no echo through the headphones on playback, then there's no echo being recorded on the tape.

On the 100a There's the very obvious delay in the progressive modes - which is considered normal. In the 60i mode I have detected a very, very slight but mostly unobjectionable delay. Neither are recorded to tape. It's an "audible illusion."
