Audio problem with dvx100a

Hi,
When I use a Audio-Technica AT835b (shotgun microphone) with my Panasonic AG-DVX100a, it do a very strange result. (You can listen here(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IpaxJ3aMuQ) ) When i recorded that, on the screen of the dvx100a, the "sound bars" were not in red. I didn't raise volume at edit. The AT835b and the cable that i use don't have any problem. Mic Gain1 and 2 are at -60dB and Mic Alc is OFF.

Can you help me ?

Does anybody else use an at835b with a dvx100a ? Do you have the same problem ?


PS: Sorry if it's hard to understand what I said. I don't speak english everyday.

what did you have the xlr switch set to on the front end of the camera? line or mic?

and you should always have headphones on.

XLR switch was at Mic.... (and i had headphone on my head!)

I didn't use mixer. At835b microphone went directly to the camcorder.

it's the same mic I use on my DVX100b all the time. I don't remember ever running into that before.

goofy question, but you have a battery in it right? and which way is the little switch near the battery on the outside set?

Finally, I think that my camcorder have a real problem. Il will go do repair my new camcorder .
