Anybody know how to tweak the sound of a voice on an Avid audio track so that it sounds like a voice over the phone? That is, changing the quality of the voice recording with a plug-in (one that comes with Avid preferably) so that it sounds like the voice is being heard over the phone. Or over the TV? Thank you!
 
You can do this with EQ settings. Just play around with the extremes until you get the appropriate echo and "tininess" that you're after.
 
Boost the 7-12K Freq, and drop the 0-300Hz all the way down, and then play with 500Hz-5Khz to taste.

This is a ruff method, but it works, you might have to run a de-esser aswell.
