Audio output on D7000 when hooked Composite out

I tried not to make the subject sound more complicated then it really is.

Basically, has anyone with the Nikon D7000 had issues with audio coming through distorted when they hook the camera up Composite to a SD TV?

I recorded 720p video, and the audio was just fine when I played it back on the camera. But, when I hooked my camera up to my parents SD TV via Composite out, the audio was distorted thoughout most of the video.

I can't find any TV playback options in the D7000 playback or Setup menu's...other then the video standard and HDMI resolution - both not effecting the audio playback on a TV.

This really isn't a huge deal to me, but is rather annoying when you shoot something and want to play it back on the nearest TV available.

Not sure if it works on anything besides the internal speaker, but the + and - zoom buttons control volume on playback. Give it a shot.

Well, I just made a little video and played it back on my personal TV via Composite. Originally the audio came through just fine (I was surprised). Then, I turned the camera off and decided to play one more time. The audio was distorted. The Volume controls on the camera do not function during playing when outputting to a TV via Composite - only when playing back on Camera itself. So, I turned the camera off and on, yet again, and the audio played back just fine.

I didn't do this earlier on, but turning the camera off and on seems to do the trick. Never mind the fact that Composite out looks like complete crap on an HDTV. I have yet to get the correct HDMI cable and trying that out - I would assume no issues.
