Using the keyboard mostly, although I tried writing directly onto the screen, just below the file, with a Sharpie, but when you move the files around they tend to get detached from their name, so I now stick to typing the label directly into the file name.
In photos you can add IPTC/Meta data with a SW like PhotoMechanic and then search it
an audio version is what you are after ?
it would be nice to have in/out points too so when finding a clip you dont have to listen to the pre-roll and all the slate chat (my recorder is set for 3 seconds of preroll)

I suppose i would be after an ability to search my recordings phrases like..

While at the moment I am generally working on single event projects I can see a time when for example doing a hotel promo I will want to include clips, audio and visual of local attractions - maybe filmed months or years befroe - at that point having a good archive solution will become important
