Audio on the F35

Hey all, I've been testing my newly acquired F35 the last few days and I've gotten a bit stumped with regards to recording audio on this sucker. Im running a mic w/ phantom power into the XLR1 input on the IF box, recording via sdi to a hyperdeck shuttle 2 recorder. No audio is making its way onto the files. So two stupid questions:

Is there a setting Im missing to enable recording of audio?

From the manual I gather theres no real way to monitor the audio levels in the viewfinder, nor adjust them. is that correct?

No way to monitor and mix audio levels.
But you can use a separate audio mixer and go line-in on the xlr ports of the IF-Box.

Regarding the no audio:

1. Have you checked if your micro is a micro that can accept +48v phantom power?
2. Did you set the switch on the IF-Box to +48v phantom power?

just did an audio test with the mic on battery power and the camera set for no phantom power.

is there a way that recording audio could have been turned off inside the menu system somewhere?

There are audio menus in the camera I am sure, and I believe it can be disabled, or switched to different channels

I found the audio settings in the maintinance manual, changed that from 5/6 to 1/2, repeated the test with and without phantom power, nothin.

Im currently testing using the sdi 1 output on the body. If running XRL audio do you need to be using the dual link sdi outputs on the IF box?
