Hey all, I am trying to find a decent entry level mic to use with my DVX100b. The in camera mic works ok but not well enough for me. I'm not looking for anything super fancy, just a entry level shotgun mic would be good. I mostly just do location recording and a few interviews. looking to spend around 100-150.

Thanks,
Dory

Please consult the forum stickies.

Also, be prepared to spend at least that much on accessories alone. An entry-level shock-mount can easily run $100, to say nothing of wind-protection and cabling.

Hi Dory:

You should take a listen to the Audio-Technica AT-875r, it is very good and can be found for as little as U.S. $189.00

Take a listen to the samples in the article
