Audio Noise?

Does the HVX have the terrible headphone curcuits from the DVX? I never was confident that I was getting good audio when shooting with that camera...

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the HVX was better. I'm getting mine today, so I'll check it out.

I shot some Drum Circle activity over the weekend in Griffith Park. Though I did not monitor it on site, I just played it back with Sony MDR-V6 headphones and the output is loud, clean and with a decent amount of low-frequency content. (the Sonys tend to sound thin normally, so this is a good thing.)

The Headphone output on my Cannon XL-1 always seemed a bit anemic, this does not.

My headphones sound noisy on the HVX200, but the actual sound is clear.

The audio sounds clear to me and the range is not bad--some mild hiss, but I am hearing better audio.
