Audio monitor latency on camera

I just got this AF 100 and am enthralled. I have many nikkor primes and the visual results with them and the lumix 14-140 are making me happy, though I am new to this camera and am just learning tweakness available. I'm coming from use of mostly Canon and JVC cameras.

I use everything from radio lavaliers to xlr cable connected shotguns etc. to boundary mics. I also capture audio via independent PCM recorder. I have searched all over and can't find why I'm getting audio latency through the monitoring headphones from the camera's built-in audio. I'm getting it in any mic configuration I try. The sync to recording is fine in playback ( I understand the AF 100 lays the audio separately on memory) I'm afraid I'm just missing something obvious and that someone can quickly point out the solution to my ignorance.

Ii apologize if this is addressed in another thread that I missed in searching.

Check the menue to see if the HP mode is set to LIVE or REC. If it is on REC, that would be the reason as it adds a delay as it is playing back the audio that was recorded from the card vs. LIVE mode that plays the audio as it is going to be recorded.

Ah, there I knew it! So very simple in a menu. I can't thank you enough for pointing out the solution to my silly problem. I thought I had gone through all the menus and obviously hadn't. You've saved me a certain amount of hair loss. Thanks again.
