Hello Gang -
I had a comment from one of my audio guys who worked with an HVX200 on a couple short films, and he was not happy with the audio performance on the cameras. Not a real surprise, audio people are NEVER happy with the audio performance of ANYTHING...
But something he observed that DID surprise me is that he found the HVX would record audio "hotter" to the P2 cards than to the DV tapes.
We don't shoot in DV anymore, so I haven't had an opportunity to test his observation (and to be perfectly honest, I don't particularly care... tape stock? we don't need no stinking tape stock!).
I just thought I would share his observation and see if anyone else has noticed this issue. If the camera DOES perform this way, why?
