Just had a overseas documentary job that for security reasons we were requested to travel as inconspicuously as possible so only brought a carry-on backpack containing a pair of GH3(s) & accessories. Everything else was rented locally. Typically I've used the GH3 mostly for low key B-Roll footage, & stills, but this time it was my primary camera.
One of the bodies was fitted with an EVF that has it own audio meters, but I noticed during the course of the shoot that when cycling thru display modes on the GH3 that if it's LCD was turned completely off the camera never stopped outputting it's own Audio Meters to the external EVF.
I haven't noted anyone reporting this behavior before (but imagine it has been documented) & thought some might find the info useful (especially in light of the recent overly long thread that turned ugly).
Best,
Bern
