audio levels in Avid

I'm wondering what level is a good benchmark for dialogue when observing levels/peaks in Avid's audio tool. There are two scales in the audio tool: the digital scale and the volume unit scale. My dialogue levels right now are hitting about 14 on the digital scale, which is 0 on the volume unit scale. Any advice?

All depends on the hardware your outputting to. Broadcasters all require different settings. -14 will probably be pretty low. We put dialog to the -9 level.
