Audio Level Meter and Timecode not showing...

I'm still very new to Final Cut and I've run across a new problem. In my current project, my timecode does not show while the timeline plays. It will show me the current time if I pause it, but it will not show me the current time while the timeline is playing. This also applies for the simple audio levels. They no longer show me the current audio levels while the timeline is in playback.

I have to have both of this features for the work I'm doing for a company. Please reply ASAP! Thanks!

Nevermind; a friend answered this question. Had to close canvas then reopen. He presumes it's a bug.

Hard to know if it's a bug without some crucial information. Which Mac, which OS, which version of FCP, which version of QT?
