I wanted to see if other users have tried to bypass the camera Mics to use the 3rd and 4th Audio inputs in HD and the other 4-channel formats?
It's very probably not worth bypassing that onboard mic when there are so many ways to grab audio these days.. (Just shoot with a second cam, or use Minidisks, etc..) But I wanted to know if it's been tried, and if the use of that Mic-level pair of inputs would be especially constrained by the particulars of the onboard mic's parameters..etc
