Audio Drops out in Capture

Hello Everyone,

I'm editing some weddings that I shot a month ago and I am running into a new issue. Occasionally my audio has dropouts or the video skips. When I recapture the footage with the issue, the glitches are gone. I'm guessing this means that there is an issue with my deck and not the camera itself. I've used a cleaning tape on the deck 4 different times since seeing this issue and it hasn't helped. My deck is a Sony DVCam DSR-11. Anyone else run into this? Does this mean I need to get the deck serviced?

First, clean the heads on the capture deck.
Secon, ALWAYS use the plug-in power supply for your capture deck - never batteries.
Running on batteries frequently causes transfer dropouts on many different devices.
 
Thanks for the advice, I cleaned the heads with a cleaning tape. The deck doesn't have an option for batteries. Any other advice?
