Audio dialogue editing

Hello:

I have this project were my actor plays both the hero and villian (but the audience wont know he plays the villian tell the end) but the problem is you can kind of tell its him playing both characters based on voice familiarity. My question is how can i edit certain clips audio(dialogue) to change the voice frequency. I tried the audio track fx and the track EQ under tools and liked the effect alot, but it does this effect to the hole project not just one clip. Is there anyway to do the track EQ so it will just effect one clip or would there be a better method, technique to approaching this problem.

any help to this question would help me out alot and i would appriceate it.

Thank you

Keep the separate voices on separate tracks, and only apply the disguising EQ (or whatever) to one of them.

Ok that seems to work good know thank you.

by any chance GenJerDan or anyone else would you know how to get a echo effect in a persons voice that some movies do (hellraisers voice in hellraiser, other horror villians) through editing. I hope that made sense.

I do almost all of my sound with SoundForge (it plays well with Vegas).

But Vegas itself comes with some audio effects plugins. You can also add more...VST plugins in version 6. Lots of free ones out there.
