AUDIO CUTS IN/OUT .... What should I do ?

I have a few tapes of interviews that I need the audio from, but the audio suddenly cuts out in mid sentece every 10-15 seconds. I did use a head cleaner before hand, so what should I do ? And is the audio still good...or ?

First, see if the audio cuts out in the same place if you capture it again. If the missing bits are not the same, then the audio can be recovered/patched together.

Also, try another deck/camera for capturing. Some decks make audio glitches far more apparent than others; and some may read the glitchy parts without a problem.

But if you have glitches that are always in exactly the same place, the same duration, and apparent when captured from multiple decks... well... you have backup audio?
 
BTW, you're not using a head cleaner frequently, are you? Cleaning the heads too much is BAD for the heads.
