Hi,
Here is a video :

1st audio)) first 25sec i use a oktava m12 for voice over in a sound devices 3m.

2nd audio)) From 25sec to the end, its a voice over of a filmmaker from a youtube site about Superman.

1st audio sounds more thin and less compressed. (i used a oktava m12 in a sound devices 3m)
The 2nd audio has more bass and his has less dynamic range. (he probably used a mic for voice over)

Which audio do you prefer for voice over and why ?
Should i try to change my sound more toward the 2nd audio? How can i make my 1st audio better ?
Does a fethead would help you think?

Thanks in advance,
Have a good day

This has much less to do with the mic and a lot more to do with the recording environment.

Recording for VO, and doing it well, means eliminating ALL reflections from the room. Professional VO is recorded in a dead room, or a VO booth, that is designed to have no reflections. Further, proximity of the mic will affect the low end.

You can create a temporary “VO booth” with some furniture blankets and C-stands. Or, if you have a walk-in closet that’s full of clothes, that can do in a pinch. Add a pop screen and move closer to the mic once you have a treated space for recording.

And a Fethead isn’t going to do you any good in this scenario. That’s designed to increase gain on lower-output mics. You have a mic with a pretty hot output, and a recorder with pre-amps that offer plenty of clean gain if needed.
