I've been using the FS700 for about 4 years and recently picked up an FS7, like a few days ago so I'm still getting my feet wet.
However, one work flow question has popped up that I hope there is a good answer to and doesn't become a pain in the #ss. I've turned off audio channels 3 & 4 in the camera menu. However, when
I bring the clips that I shot into either Autodesk Smoke or Flame it's seeing each clip as having 8 channels...I'm assuming thinking each channel as a stereo pair.
However when I try to edit those clips to a timeline it tells me they are mono...go figure. And unfortunately Smoke doesn't allow to just import selected audio channels...it's kind of an all or nothing deal.
It's just a pain to have these clips carrying round, in this case, six extra channels of audio.
I'm assuming within the camera off means off, but Is there something I'm missing in regards to the audio? Anyone else using footage from the FS7 with Smoke or Flame?
