Hello owners, I'd like you to check my lens list and tell me if you think the booster will be beneficial:

FX
Zeiss 35mm ZF f/2.0 lens
Zeiss 50mm ZF f/1.4 lens
Nikon 85mm f/1.4D lens
Tokina 28-70mm f/2.6 lens

DX
Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 lens
Tokina 50-135mm f/2.8 lens

And if so are there different model boosters to choose from?

Thanks

You won't have any downsides with the FX lenses.

Some users have reported soft corners on the Tok 11-16 w/ SB, but from frame grabs it didn't look terrible:

Haven't seen nor heard info on the Tok 50-135, but I use my Sigma 50-150/2.8 with the SpeedBooster all the time now. VERY good combo in interview situations.

Of the lenses I've sampled (at willing camera stores), I can't say any of the full-frame lenses have been harmed by using them with the SB... it just changes the lens' FOV, speed, and character (slightly). Some DX lenses had vignetting/corner darkening/softening issues (generally ultrawides and superzooms) but most have been perfectly useable as well.

Curious to know what Metabones will do with a Nikon AF 35-105mm F3.5-4.5 D Lens on an AF100? Will it make this lens an F2.5? What about the effective zoom range with the AF100 and how do you "set the lens up" for use with the metabones?

Full-frame lenses are fairly foolproof, especially with an aperture ring... you just plop it on there are get a 0.71x reduction to focal length and f-stop (in your case resulting in a 25-72/2.5-3.2)

update on the Tokina 11-16: when set to 11mm and stopped down, there's sharp black corner vignetting even on the AF100. The shot becomes useable blown up to ~105%, but it got me one two shots recently.

oh well, 11mm was overrated anyway ;)

On my GF1 I haven't seen any sign of vignetting with the 11-16 set to 11mm and stopped down, but I've misplaced the lens hood and haven't been using it. Could your vignetting be due to the hood? Or does the AF100 require an image circle larger than 21.6mm?

Update on my update: turns out the only reason I saw vignetting at 11mm was the CPOL I had on the lens. Sorry for any false alarms.
