I have been given a large number of DAT tapes awhile back that are live recordings at various concerts. The guy I got them from was a "taper" and these are really good quality recordings.
But here is the problem, Phish and String Cheese Incident just isn't my thing. I would hate to erase these tapes when I know there are fan(actic)s out there for this music. I got them to do just that thing, i.e. erase and re-use.
What I propose to do is either trade these for blank DAT tapes of the equivalent length or buy them from me, each at the price of a new tape (roughly 5 bucks). Most of them are 120min tapes, some at 90 min.
The Phish stuff encompasses 1994 to 1999 (27 tapes), the SCI stuff is 98-2001 (18 tapes) (One I am keeping, the opening band is Los Lobos). I have more tapes, but Neil Young, Pat Metheny, Bob Marley, and Phil Collins I like.
If you have a particular concert in mind in those dates, let me know, as these tapes are very well labeled and what songs are on them (as well as the signal chain on most of them) Example: SCI Whistler Conv. Center, Whistler BC 03/18/2001 Schoeps CMC-6/mk41 (Pair)> MP-2>ADK2+! that's a 6-7K signal chain, today!
I am thinking this is a fair deal, and I am not profiting off of the recorded material. Basically you are just buying the tape itself from me so I can buy a new one.
