Attach A Camera To Boompole As A Jib Is It Possible?

I was thinking since my boompole which is a k-tek 9 foot 2 inch, has a connector for a shockmount is there someway to convert it to work as a tripod plate, like some kind of adaptor? I also have a c stand that I use with a boompole holder to get good sound.
Thanks

Possible? Yes. Advisable? Not really.

Using a proper jib means that you have good counter-weight, even balance, and smooth motion from a good-quality mount. Putting a camera on a fish pole (boom pole) doesn't offer any of that, and you're likely to get way too much shake for any of the footage to be usable.

Thinking of small remote cams;

Has anyone used the the Panny HCK10 with the HMR10 recorder. Per the specs, I suspect this has the same guts as the HMC40-80 which would make for better images than anything like a GoPro.. K-tek just introduced a boompole mounted bracket for the recorder. You would need a steady hand indeed to hand hold a rig like this, but imagine some kind of mount to a fluid head, mini counterweight, and badda bing, instant portable cam on a jib.

it would not be a moving shot it would stay in one place which is what I do with my microphones, I use my boompole, a c-stand, and a boompole holder as well, to get good sound, I use sandbags as well to stop the stand from moving, and my camera weighs less then my microhphone and all the gear I put on it, I was looking at it and it seems like the connector is the same as a tripod plate but much larger is there a converter for this?

if your camera is fairly light, and it's a stationary shot, why not just do something like strap a hi-hat to the top of a ladder. or if you need to boom out for an overhead shot, how about some speed rail and a couple of combo stands. use a mafer clamp to rig the camera. it has 1/4"-20 taps on it (the same as your camera has). these are good, cheap, and safe ways to do this.
