Atomos Shogun Inferno Build Quality

Hey Inferno users,

I have pretty bad wiggle of unit's screen when mounted on top with arm. There is no wiggle at all when I mount unit with ball head. Is this only on my Inferno or it is really bad build quality? Since I have Inferno for month and I used it only in studio mostly with ball head, I am pretty disappointed with build quality..

I'm not sure it's built for stretching, haha...I think the Inferno's build quality is pretty decent, but there are better out there (like the Video Devices).
 
:)) yeah I am not going to stretch it. I have noticed it because when you hold the camera and shake it just a bit it is like jelly. Feels weird for 2000$ product. Like I said bottom thread is rock solid.
 
So, most people on the internet say that Atomos has horrible customer service and I have to say, it is not true. Today my unit was replaced.
 
Several of the Atomos products have just dropped in price, the Inferno being one of them. It's now between $500-$700 less than when it came out.
Sure looks tempting. Specs look good.
Still not sure about the reviews of it getting so hot. In a hot outdoor situation could that result in malfunction or damage?
 
Not sure of the price on the Smallrig cage...I bought the Varavon cage for the original Shogun which definitely needed one, and still quite happy with it.
