Atomos shogun delay

[Mestizo Devon]

Has the shogun been delayed?

[dmitrizigany]

Don't think they ever announced a date. So no, it hasn't.

BH has been saying "mid October" for a while now:

I am curious if they will have touch screen auto focus in conjunction with the monitor. That would be nice for run & gun.
Although I love the idea of owning one of these, I will most likely only ever rent. If there were a cheaper, compact, non monitor modual that recorded 4K to CF fast, I would heartily plop down $400-$500 for that~

Should be a Ninja Star 4K eventually. Guess it'll be a while though...

Mid October.

They said today that they slipped a couple of weeks. They are in beta right now and have made a few modifications to the Shogun...

One change is 4K @ 60p which was partially enabled by replacing the heatsink with dual heat pipes! This also apparently made the unit lighter in weight!

on another note - Blackmagic is releasing a 4k hdmi to 4k sdi converter which you can probably use with the O7Q and run off a p tap - so there are soon other options to get 4k out of your a7s.

Hello ! Shogun where are you ?
