!! SOLVED !! See bottom post....
Hey guys
I know some of you have the Samurai for your FS100. I just got it and today is the 2nd time I'm powering it up, and the first time I've connected it to the camera.
There is a signal coming through and the setup is:
FS100 HDMI (1080i /576i) 1080/25p > BMD battery converter > Samurai 1080p25 (ProResHQ)
The issue I'm having is that the images it's recording are all messed up. When monitoring 1080p25 it's full of flickering horizontal lines in mageta and green. When monitoring 1080i50 it's about the same, only now the entire image consists of 6 overlapping vertical images that also flickers.
This is regardless of the drive being in.
Notes:
- I just updated to latest firmware. Went smooth.
- The HDMI cable is a high speed HDMI with ethernet (dunno if that means anything...)
- standart BNC cable 75cm long
- The image I can monitor will look the same once recorded and inserted in fx. Premiere.... still flickery and magenta /green
- I tried using another HDMI cable that I use between my MBP and tv (and is 100% functional) however, this cable does not pass a signal through.
- The clips recorded simultaneously on the SD card look fine (and might I say mighty fine with Franks new profile
)
Anyone who have encountered this before and know what to do?
Thanks
