Hi,
I am not sure if I have posted this in the correct section of the forum. I am using 3 Panasonic AG-AF101 and I am connecting each one using the HD-SDI output on the camera to the Datavideo HS-2000 vision mixer HD-SDI input. The mixer has an HD-SDI output for recording on a device. My question is can I use a HD-SDI to HDMI converter and connect that to the Datavideo HS-2000 HD-SDI output then connect the Atomos Ninja to the HDMI from the converter and start recording? Does the Ninja need to recognise what format a device is outputting before it can record? I know this is not the ideal way to do this but because of my low budget this is what I have right now and I am thinking if it is possible to do this? If anybody could help, it would be much appreciated.
Thank you
