Atomos Ninja Flame vs Ninja Assassin, HDR aside any other key differences???

I'm on the fence about whether to get the Atomos Ninja Assassin or Ninja Flame. I know that the Assassin is just under $995 and that the Flame is $300 more and gives you HDR, brighter screen, and better power management. But aside from these advantages, can anyone who has used both comment on how else the Ninja Flame is different to the older Ninja Assassin?

Do they have the same menus and OS? Same weight? If the Flame is better with batteries, how much longer can it run than the Assassin on the same batteries?

Thanks very much in advance for any feedback.

The Assassin is listed as "While stock lasts" on Atomos.com site. They have been discontinued (we are a dealer). Unless you find existing stock somewhere, the Flame is going to be the only option going forward.

The screen on the Flame is really nice and should be very good for outside viewing.

It is. There's an issue with playback in HDR mode (I have the Shogun version, but it's basically the same unit) - high contrast scenes flicker as they play, so for the moment I just switch to a mLUT view for playback. I've raised a ticket with Atomos support on this and they are slowly investigating.

Thank you everyone. Battery power wise, how would you say the Flame compares to the Assassin?
I imagine that in HDR battery will drain faster, but if you're not shooting in HDR mode, does the Flame last longer than the assassin on the same batteries and if so by how much? Is the power efficiency noticeably better or only slightly?

I'm assuming that the software on both is identical correct? That HDR aside, the Flame doesn't have more ions than the Assassin, or am I mistaken?

Power - I saw a test somewhere showing that the flame version lasted about 6 minutes less than the old model (with the flame in HDR mode). Of course it benefits also from dual, hot-swappable battery slots.
Software - other than the HDR mode and some extra screen furniture to accommodate that functionality, it seems identical. It's on a different branch now, though, so how long that will remain the case is questionale.
