Ordered my HVX today and thought I'd pass along this info.
I found a local dealer who put me down as 4th on the list with a projected delivery date of next week (or the next). Very competitive price. Got an HVX200 (bare bones / no P2) for $5299 They also have several other packages available including 4gb bundles and P2 Store bundles.
If you need one of these cams and don't want to join the 100 person waiting lists give them a call and see if they can hook you up. Tell him Owen filled you in.

David has a demo unit with 2 8gb P2 cards. He let me stop by the office and play with it for an hour today and I ended up placing my order before leaving. We even dumped the P2 footage onto my laptop with no problems. They also have offices in Charleston and Charlotte, so the HVX makes its rounds in order to let people stop by and check it out.
I told David his wait list was darn short compared to most and that I'd spread the word.
