at the beach tips. leaving in 30 minutes

I am going to be filming at the beach shortly and I am wondering if there is anything I should know about or be cautious about at the beach. I won't be very near the water, but am just looking for some basic tips on protecting the camera. Its a dvx

it's just bad to be at a beach without proper protection. Just dont drop it in the sand. But I think in general, sand has a way of getting in no matter what and makes your focus/zoom rings sticky.
