ASSOCIATE VIDEO PRODUCER
Grandparents.com is seeking an associate video producer to join our new Union Square office and assist the producer of digital media in the creation of custom videos for the web and television.
Day to day duties for the associate video producer will include:
• Video production (set up, lighting design, record audio, camera operation) of interviews, packages, reports and man on the street content
• Video editing with Final Cut Pro Studio 2
• Video compression and formatting for the web with Compressor, Episode and Sorenson Squeeze
• Graphic Design with Photoshop and Illustrator
• Motion Graphics work with After Effects CS3 and/or Apple Motion
• Administrative tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, logging footage and burning DVDs
The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
TECHNICAL SKILLS
• *** ABILITY TO TELL COMPELLING STORIES VIA EDITORIAL ***
• Degree in video production, post-production or design
• Video production experience including video camera operation and lighting design
• Knowledge of Panasonic HVX200, DVX100, FireStore and P2 workflows
• Expert knowledge of Final Cut Pro Studio 2 as demonstrated in a reel or on-line videos
• Motion graphics experience with Apple Motion, After Effects and/or Flash
• Competent with video compression for on-line and DVD using products like Apple Compressor, Episode and Sorenson Squeeze
• Graphic design and image formatting for video with Photoshop and Illustrator
• Administrative skills with products like Microsoft Word and Excel
• Must be able to work on Mac platform (Leopard)
OTHER SKILLS
• Strong sense of professionalism
• Good work ethic
• Ability to work on many different types of projects simultaneously and complete tasks on time
• Excellent organization skills, high motivated and ability to strive under a deadline
