Assistant Lighting

As a lighting assistant, what type of tasks and jobs would I be required to do?

I would say a variety of grip/electric work. Setting up/breaking down lights, light control, running cables, etc. I would say basic rigging knowledge and a pretty comprehensive knowledge of lighting instruments and light control tools would be a must.

I think as a lighting assistant your job will be to assist the lighting people.



But yes, standard stuff. Jobs always change from set to set though.
