Hey guys. Quick question.

What number of clip "top" and "bottom" would be used in adobe premier pro 1.5 to achieve the 2.35:1 aspect ratio in standard 4x3 as well as in 16x9 (i understand the loss of resolution, just a question)

i have been using top 23 bottom 23 in 4x3 for the longest time but i have a feeling its too much, and in 16x9 i think i had been using 15 ?

Can someone please tell me the exact numbers? Thank you.

Just tried 21 and 21 in 4x3. Would that be the magic number?

Now tried 12 and 12 in 16x9 ratio.

I use Virtual Dub, set the Y1 and Y2 to 54... it's 100x faster than Premiere. Render out your 4x3 or 16x9 AVI in Premiere and then use Virtual Dub to crop the footage as a new AVI. Works like a charm.

im definately gunna check that out asap.
but i do think that i found the magic numbers

in 16x9 mode, the clip is 11

and in 4x3 mode, the clip is 22
