Aspect Ration for YouTube

Apparently Youtube uses a 4:3 ratio of 425:316 (not the advertised upload size).

How should I set the aspect ratio of the HVX200 (normal, letterbox, squeeze) and or stretch in a NLE to get it to produce content that fills the box rather than than produces letter boxed content?

If you are recording exclusively for YouTube, then I would set the HVX to NORMAL.

But since I can't imagine that you are only going to YouTube, I would personally shoot 16:9 and crop in post.

I always shoot 16:9 and publish 16:9 to YouTube. Below you can see how it looks like.

Thank you very much Thoff and jjb.

Okay I will either crop in post, or enjoy the movie style letterboxing.

You are getting a very good image there jjb. I wonder about how you render.
