I have PP 7.0 been using it for years, now all of a sudden all my transferred clips and old clips as well have been changed from 4:3 to widescreen 720x480... when I transfer video it looks great in PP capture, and preview window, but always exports in 720x480 with no option to change it that I can see...

I checked my settings upon opening a project

how can it show standard 4:3, but in the highlight area there, it shows 720x480 and my clips in after effects look like :furious3: and wont render :badputer:

720 x 480 is the proper size for 4:3 video. The pixel aspect ratio is what will determine if it's widescreen or not. If you're sure you captured your footage properly, open your video in Premiere, and check it's properties, it should have an pixel ratio of 0.9. Widescreen footage is 720 x 480 with a pixel aspect ratio of 1.2. You can right click, select "interpret footage," and change the pixel aspect ratio.
