Asa

Does anyone know what ASA the Panasonic DVX100 (A or B) runs at? I just got a Luma Pro light meter and I want to make sure I have all the settings right before I start using it and ruining films. Thanks for any help.

Search the forums and you'll find tons of info on this. The basic answer is that you cannot use a light meter to reliably set exposure on a DVX or most any other camera in its price class. If you insist on trying, rate the DVX at 640 when in progressive modes.

You can use a light meter to measure FC and to judge contrast ratios, but trying to use it to set exposure will lead to errors on the wide-open and stopped-down ends of the spectrum.
