Artifacts?

I just used the text tool like I always do in AE...And I get weird artifacts/blockiness on the text:

It's at 100% and it's the same way I always use to write text...Have never noticed this before. Any help?

Are you sure you are at full resolution and zoomed in 100% to check?

What are your comp settings? Looks like you're working in an DVCPROHD comp with non-square pixels. I've noticed some definite artifacting/stairstepping in DVCPROHD comps (960x720 with 1.33 PAR) that goes away if you change the comp to 1280x720 1.0 PAR.

Just did a quick test and I'm pretty sure that's your problem. You're not going to see it when you render, even when I rendered a still to test I didn't see it like it was in the comp window. Either way, you can do your work in a 1280x720 comp then drop that comp into a DVCPROHD comp and render out if need be. Or just change your render settings when you send your 1280x720 comp to the queue. It's just easier to work in square pixels, IMO.
