Hi there. I made a sci-fi action comedy movie called: "Artie Saves the Hood". It's based on some cartoons I have on Ifilms & Mania Tv called: "Artie Guy & Jay". Here's the tagline:
Artie Guy was just your average idiot, hanging out with his friends and wasting time on stupid ideas. But then one day, he found a mysterious soap in his drywall and everything went to hell. Now he has to fight off interdimensional bastards with the help of his video game addict neighbor and a girl who only speaks gibberish. The fate of the neighborhood is in their hands!
Please check out the trailer and pics at: www.artiesavesthehood.com
It was shot on the 100a. We used green screen compositing and FX in After effects. Edited with Premiere Pro 1.5. It was shot in Sacramento and played at the 2005 sac film fest. I'm new to the "getting your movie out there" game and would appreciate any feedback and or advice. I have a new script for a new "Artie" complete and am looking to start shooting in 2006. I've maxed out my credit cards though, so its off to my 3 new jobs to pay back my debts for the remainder of this year. I could also use some help in how to get distribution (for a short is tough) and funding for the feature. Please drop me a line. I'm eager to make filmmaker friends. Thanks for your time...
