Want. Now.

Multi-channel audio
AMIRA is equipped with flexible audio options that are suitable for any type of production. Again, access to controls and connections is easy, causing minimal disturbance to the camera operator. The camera allows 4-channel, 48 kHz, 24-bit PCM recording with micro- phone, microphone + phantom power, line level and AES3 digital inputs, all of which can be routed to any recording channel.

Audio levels can be balanced manually, with a limiter,
or in automatic mode, and low/high pass filters permit recording quality to be optimized in special environments. Audio functions have their own control/display panel, and through Bluetooth functionality recordings can be monitored or even annotated on a separate track.

It even has the possibility to use EF mount lenses.

Doesn't look like it shares the Alexa's lovely control panel, hope it isn't much more complicated to adjust settings than the standard Alexa.

Wonder what the price will be. Lets hope the price is around $20k at most.

Also nice to see it is using CFast and didn't fall back on Compact Flash or some proprietary solution. Hopefully this will push everyone else to adopt it. For those that don't know, CFast is the SATA version of Compact Flash, which is IDE based, and it supports so far up to 600MB/s.

+1 $20k price tag, any spec about lens mount?

Well that's a Fujinon Cabrio lens so I'm guessing it's PL. Sad to say I think $20k is a dream for that bit of kit, no mention of a global shutter but I think it will be in F55 territory - looks like a great rental option though.

The Fujinon Cabrio lens by itself is around $30,000.

Which makes me hope this isn't a PL mount camera. It would be nice to have a mount, maybe something like Sony's FZ mount, which has an 18mm flange, so there are many options. They could create a new one, and make it open, like the CFast standard.

I'll be renting this as soon as it is available for testing. If it is all I think it will be, it will replace my stolen F35 and the Epic I'm shooting with now. I absolutely love shooting with the Alexa, and hope the ergonomics and menu are very similar.
