"The Pearl" is "The Pearl District" in Northwest Portland, Oregon... where I live. I've had my DVX for a few weeks now but haven't had the time to go out and play with it until last night.

Hey, I live in NE Portland and own a DVX100A, the rose city is awsome! Those are some good grabs, the pearl is a really cool part of town, unlike my proximity to the airport :(

I'm sure there are more DVX owners in PDX... I'd love to see their work! We should form a community and make a movie or something, eh? NE PDX is cool... it's really up and coming!

The should be up again. I was switching servers for one of my other websites and accidentally goofed up the server settings for the one where the pictures are hosted. Let me know if you still don't see anything.

That would be awsome! PDX in general is very up and coming, especially in the art/film scene. What kind of stuff do you generally shot/plan to shoot?

This is mostly a hobby... I shoot my own shorts and family stuff. I'd LOVE to do something on a bigger scale and develop a DVX community here in Portland but I'm not going to be here for much longer. We're moving to Tokyo. Look for posts from me while I'm over there!

Good deal, I am planning on going to the Art Institute of Portland next year, so I will deffinetly be in Portland for a while. When are you going to tokyo?

We're leaving in the next 3 weeks. I hope there's a big local DVX community there that I can start a project with. Good luck at the Art Institute!
