Are UHS-1 Speed Cards Compatible with HMC40?

To gain faster write speed to transfer data from SD card to my computer (using a USB 3.0 Transcend card reader) I have been reading about UHS-1 class SD cards (quoted write speed of 45 MB/s vs 10 MB/s of class 10 SD cards). One article said UHS was introduced in 2009 and utilizes a new data bus. Articles says if host device (HMC40 in my case) does not have the new type data bus the card defaults to standard data bus so you don't use faster read speeds of UHS-1.

Has anyone used UHS-1 cards in HMC40 and if so what year did you buy your HMC40? Any problems or benefits you noted (class 10 I have been using actually seem fine for the read part of equation--I am just trying to get faster write speed transferring SD card to my computer). I bought my HMC40 in 2011 so I would think it would have the "new data bus" for UHS-1 speed class? Dennis

Dennis all my cards for my HMC40 bought february 2010 are like this, transfer speed with usb 3.0 is amazing, is more than enough speed since the HMC40 AVCCAM at the highest quality
is 24 mb in this is made for much higher data rates, Just to test one I put it at the microwave oven for 3 minutes with a video in it, and nothing happened

Thank you Felipe for confirming UHS-1 card class will work fine in HMC40 (at least ones purchased after 2009 introduction of this card class) and you do actually see faster transfer speeds using USB 3.0. Regards, Dennis
