Are they EVER gonna fix youtube HD?

another one here, no issues so far, everything is working perfectly.
I also find lots of problems with vimeo.

Because, it is 2010, and it still doesn't work 9 out of 10 times. Sure, SD video works *most* of the time (and even that loads slowly every now and then, despite beeing the amazing res of 360p).

I've stopped browsing youtube simply because it doesn't work. (And for the note, I got gigabit ISP, prob one of the fastest in the world actually...). Anyway. What I find really scary is that it seems that some videos have server priorety, and the less-viewed ones gets the spare bandwith.

Google, maybe it's time to unscrew youtube while it still got SOME users? They like, spend money on making some (awful) design choices instead of fixing HD playback? Derp-derp........

Um, hardware issue on your end????????? Just a thought. I watch HD stuff all the time, so, for me, the provider is not an issue................

Just something to think about.

I have trouble with Youtube on my brand spanking new laptop. it wont show youtube beyond 480P, but it will play 1080P 5D footage without a hiccup. weird....

Youtube's Flash player is a resource hog, which is a big reason for this. If you're playing the 5D footage on windows, you're in an even better position, because ffdshow-mt, and CoreAVC provide excellent decoding speed.

I haven't had any issues with Youtube HD at all that upgrading my computer did not fix. Vimeo still hiccups now and again for me though.
