Are Nvidia Quadro graphics cards noisy?

Hi there, looks like there's no way around an Nvidia Graphics card for my new XPress Pro 5.5.
But I see they have cooling fans and I read someo comments complaining about them being noisy in a quiet studio setting (I'm recording voice overs close to the PC).
I need an Nvidia Quadro AGP, as I have a motherboard ASUS with AGP 8x.
Avid requirements say Nvidia Quadro FX 500 or 1100.
Any comments from users of such cards would be welcome.

I'll answer this to bury this thread decently: nope, they are not noisy. At least the FX 500 I installed which is working well and is less noisy than the external harddisks anyway.
