Architect Not burning AFTER installing Winamp on my system

Has anyone experienced the following problem? And if so how did u fix it. I just recently installed winamp on my system, during the install i think it defaulted to associate every type of media file on my pc to me a "winamp" file. How annoying. Anyway, I just finished a project in vegas with no crashing or problems, but when i try and render and burn the project in architect i begin to have problems. The render stage seems to go by fine, but then when it goes on to the burning phase, it has a popup window that says "please wait, locating media"? i have never seen that before and I have rendered over a hundred projects. Then the popup does not go away, I hit cancel and it seems like it goes to burn but then errors again and says something like " too large to fit on media" and ejects the disk. I am only trying to burn 3.8gb on a 4.7gb disk. The only thing i have changed is just adding winamp.

Any suggestions? If removing winamp is the solution that is fine, but will that change my file associations back also?

HELP!

Yeah that whole file association thing angered me with another program. Anytime I wanted to watch a clip it took twice as long to open. And yeah NLE problems as well.

If you uninstall, I believe you will have to re-install Windows media player 10 to associate the files to default to it. So I think system restore may be your best bet like horsefilms suggested.

Thanks guys. I just tried to reinstall media player 10 with no luck. I am going to try and uninstall winamp also before doing a full system reset. Maybe it is hardware failure?

FYI all. I figured out it was a Hardware failure of the Firewire DVD burner causing my software errors.
