Some first impressions--
There is definitely some play in the adapter to camera mounting. That leaves me a bit concerned.
Documentation does not state that if the lens has AF/MF switch, turn it to AF to activate the focus motor. Should be obvious but...
Tested on Canon 24-105; Tokina 11-16; Tamron 17-50.
In all cases, the iris worked and was quite responsive to the remote.
Focus is very touchy and hard to pull a good focus. However, the remote adapter does have A and B switches for specific focus points and its variable-speed ability makes repeating a rack pull possible. So the remote focus is far more useful in a rack focus situation than it is in following a subject, for example.
A decent unit and I'll play with it some more over the next few days. Is it worth $389? Not sure.
Would love to hear any other impressions from anyone else who has used it.
