Cheers Bern! Mine arrived today. Just took it out of the box tonight and had a quick play... first impressions are quite good.
 
Got a notice the 300d2 is in stock at B&H, so likely also at other retailers too. If buying from Samy’s, or Hot Rod, I suggest calling, & not just relying on their website to determine stock.

On another note, according to Aputure it’s easy to swap from a V-Mount to a A/B battery plate. All you need to do is buy the plates from Apurture, & perform the installation yourself. AFAIK the 300d2 with A/B plates have been hard to source, so someone who wants in ASAP might pursue this course, but I just use adapter plates as needed.

EDIT: Samy’s & Hot Rod’s, website show the 300d2 in stock. Hot Rod even has the A/B version.
